Further Education Lecturer

The course is intended for everyone who wants to acquire or develop the professional competences necessary for the work of a lecturer in the field of further education, but also an internal trainer in the private sector, or individuals who provide consultancy or educational activities.

The course is accredited by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Czech Republic as a requalification course and is suitable for preparing people to obtain the professional qualification of Lecturer of Further Education in accordance with the National Register of Qualifications.

Course objective

Participants in the course will be able to train and educate within the framework of lifelong learning, including the ability to create content, a timeline, and course structure, design educational programs for further education, present knowledge using interactive approaches and modern teaching methods, assign and evaluate participants’ work, and master teaching assessment techniques, all while considering all aspects of adult education.

Course content

  • Knowledge and comprehension of legislation governing the further education system for the needs of a further education lecturer
  • Cooperation with clients in preparation of educational programmes and educational events
  • Creation of continuing education programmes
  • Development of a continuing education programme into a minute-by-minute scenario
  • Preparation of didactic means and aids related to adult education
  • Knowledge of face-to-face teaching methods used by a further education lecturer
  • Knowledge of online teaching methods used by a further education lecturer
  • Verification and assessment of adult learners’ achievements
  • Reflection on own lecturer’s work and evaluation of adult education activities

The participant receives confirmation of participation in an accredited educational program and then has the opportunity to take professional qualification exam “Further education lecturer”.

Lecturers

The course is taught by experienced external and internal lecturers who have been involved in education for a long time.

Course scope

The course comprises a total of 100 hours of instruction, of which 64 hours are in-person and 36 hours are distance learning, delivered through e-learning.

Course date

The course is offered once a year.

Requirements for admission to the course

  • at least secondary education with matriculation exam
  • submission of a completed application form
  • payment of the course fee

The course is taught in Czech.
