Who are applicants with special needs?

Applicants with special needs are applicants with:

  • visual impairment,
  • hearing impairment,
  • mobility limitations,
  • Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) including ADD and ADHD,
  • autism spectrum disorder,
  • mental illness,
  • chronic somatic conditions including impaired communication skills.

What can we help you with?

You can contact us if:

  • you are not sure if your chosen field is suitable for you,
  • you need advice on choosing a field of study considering the circumstances of SP,
  • you need to arrange an adjustment of the admission procedure.

What can we offer?

We will guide you through the whole process and help you choose the right field of study, through the admissions, studies and the state examinations. We will support, counsel and help you overcome obstacles on your way to your degree.

You can be guided by a counsellor, coach, career advisor and psychologist.

What else should you know?

The university’s requirements for students are the same for everyone. Think early about what you would like to do in the future, what your options are for employment after graduation and whether there is a requirement for a particular course that you may not be able to meet because of a specific need, disability or disadvantage.

Admissions modifications are only allowed if the admissions procedure takes place at a faculty or institute of MENDELU and the nature of the admissions procedure in relation to your SP requires it.

If an external body is responsible for the entrance examination, the terms of the modification are approved by that body. More information about SCIO – National Comparative Examinations.
