Student Competition – Knight Karel F. E. Kořistka Award
Dear students,
the director of the Institute of Lifelong Learning announces the 4th annual student competition for the Knight Karel F. E. Kořistka Award
- for students of the Bachelor’s degree programme Specialization in Pedagogy, field of study Teaching of Vocational Subjects and Practical Training in both full-time and combined study formats.
Students can participate in this competition after submitting a fully completed theoretical part of their bachelor’s thesis, upon recommendation from their thesis supervisor.
The application form for the competition should be sent to the vice-director of the Institute of Lifelong Learning via email by the bachelor’s thesis supervisor, in consultation with the student.

Registration deadline and the competition organization
- The latest possible date for registration is January 18, 2023, 12:00 PM.
- After this deadline, the vice-director of the ILL, or an academic worker delegated, will appoint a committee chosen from the MENDELU academic staff, which will propose the date of the competition. The participants will be informed of this date by their thesis supervisors via email.
- On the day of the competition, each participant will present the theoretical part of their bachelor’s thesis to the committee board, in the form of a maximum 10-minute presentation supported by a PowerPoint (or other software) presentation. Each presentation will be followed by a short discussion with the committee members.
- The individual presentations will be evaluated by the committee at the end of the competition, resulting in a final ranking. Based on this ranking, the top three participants will be awarded an extraordinary scholarship.
