General Agricultural Activities Course

A comprehensive one-semester course is intended for the agricultural public and beginning farmers who apply for subsidies from the Rural Development Programme – Measure I.3.2. Successful completion of the course will result in a minimum agricultural qualification, which is one of the conditions the recipient of the subsidy must meet. It is accredited by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic – registration No. 041/2020-14150

Course objective

Comprehensive preparation for performing agricultural activities. Mastering the theoretical basis and completing practical training to apply the theoretical knowledge. Knowledge acquired during the study will be tested in the final exam. After successfully passing the exam, participants will receive a certificate of completion of the course, which is also the prerequisite for applications for EU subsidies for potential applicants.

Course completion

The course is completed by a board exam. The exam consists of 2 parts – a theoretical exam (written test) and the final thesis defence – an independently written project/final thesis according to an individual assignment.

  • The theoretical exam consists of a written test of at least 70 questions. To pass the theoretical part, the participant must answer at least 70% of the questions correctly.
  • The final thesis defence takes place before a commission board.

According to the methodological guidelines of the Ministry of Agriculture, it is also necessary to prepare a Practice Diary. The practical training is self-organised and takes place in the enterprise of your choice, it can also be in your own enterprise.

Submission of the practice diary together with the project/thesis is a prerequisite for admission to the final exam. The practical training is set at a minimum of 105 hours.

Course Output

Successful graduates will be issued a certificate of completion of the “General Agricultural Activities Course” with national validity.

A minimum of 75% attendance in in-person classes is required to receive the certificate.
